Tonight on my way home on the Den-en-Toshi line express train, a few stations before mine I happened to turn in my seat and look out the window behind me. Flappergasted I kept my spine fully twisted, captivated by the view presented to me.
Blue sky! There, between the buildings rushing past, a few feathery clouds lit by the sun as it prepared to set.
Abruptly I recalled that once I lived in a land of blue summer skies, in a verdant world where fluffy clouds and azure skies were not such rare and priceless jewels as to merit body-straining to let the eyes drink in every precious glimpse.
